Progress continues on the Fortunan 24th. Since taking these pictures I've added some more detail to one of the Chimeras and thrown a heavy flamer on it. The heavy weapon squads had been finished earlier, but had not appeared on the blog till now.
Also, I got some new tools to help me on my next project...
With these I shall finally be able to get to work on my Sentinels. Yay!

Very cool! I like the cards theme, its a very novel idea and looks awesome on the bases! Are you keeping a suit for each platoon or what? You have 4 suits to play with and are going to have a lot of squads to play with, how you going to organise it? Either way, its a very novel idea, very well done!
I love the card symbols on the back of the chimera's, are you going to have a joker?
@ SovietSpace: Thanks! Right now I have a suit for each platoon (Clubs= platoon with heavy weapons, Hearts= Al'Rahem's platoon) while the Diamonds and Spades go to veteran squads (Diamonds= no doctrines, Spades... you get the idea). There will be a fluff post at some point about this topic, so stay tuned for that!
@Col. Corbane: Thanks! I've been thinking about a joker for a while, but I'm not exactly sure where to put it. It goes a little against theme (no jokers in Euchre), but I thought I might throw them in as Penal Legions, Death Cult Assassins... something crazy with lots of close combat potential.
Make Marbo the Joker, if anyone's pulling tricks, it's him.
@Col. Corbane: Dammit. Now I have to remodel Marbo before my birthday as well... I hope you're happy. >:(
I've always liked your card theme. These look like a great addition.
New tools are always fun. Concerning the Dremel bits, Dremel sells the 1/32 and 3/64 inch bits in individual packs. Very important with the 1/32 inch bits, as they break easy. Only trouble is you have to special order them. My local RC Hobby shop is my source.
@the other Kevin: Thanks for both the thumbs up and the heads up on the Dremel stuff. It turns out that I actually forgot to buy a 3/16" bit, so I may have to go out and find that. Then again, I may by some 1/32" magnets soon, so I should be good for now.
