Manticore, The Competitive Option

For the tournament I decided to upgrade my firepower by adding a Manticore to the list. Being able to drop tons of strength 10 pie plates from out of the sky is just brutal, instakilling characters, popping land raiders... it just does everything!

That's not to mention that the model itself is just gorgeous- I think it's by far my favorite GW tank. Everything about it just screams no-nonsense, from the bulked up crew compartment to the huge rocket sled on the back. Yet there's still plenty of details that you can bring out with your paintbrush.

You can even make the rockets face up if you want to! Not necessarily the smartest move to do in this TLoS era that we find ourselves in, but very aesthetically pleasing.

And of course, as the magnet loving person that I am, I magnetized the missiles so that I can take them off one by one as the tank unleashes its deadly cargo.

Thanks for reading, and I'll return on Monday with some Ogre Circus goodness!

Awesome looking Manticore. How easy was it to magnetise?

Great looking Manticore here. I like the coloring scheme, and the red on the missiles is a great contrast!

@Courtney: Thanks! It was relatively easy to do so. I used a pair of 1/32" magnets on the rockets and on the launch vanes. The tricky part was making sure that everything lined up well and that those friggin tiny magnets didn't stick themselves together or end up the wrong polarity.

@the other Kevin: Thanks! It's always great when my random inspirations turn out well on me models.

@ da Masta Cheef: Thanks! They are an awesome model, and competitive too! Always nice when that happens.
